My dog had four tumors removed on Monday. This has happened occasionally. Usually the doctor pokes her various lumps with a needle, examines the cells on a slide, then cheerily says, "Benign!" Sometimes she has one of the lumps surgically removed, and it is sent to a lab, and the doctor calls and cheerily says, "Benign!" I admit, I've gotten used to this routine.

This time, three were benign. The fourth was one of these. Malignant. It's gone now. If it comes back, she has to have radiation. We can't do anything until then.
