:: [Prev] do something [Next]
You've probably already broken at least one of your New Year's resolutions. I know I have. Fortunately, it's not too late to make more.
The world, as it is, is intolerable. Look in any direction and you'll see a dozen pursuits -- a dozen problems, pains and people -- worthy of a New Year's revolution. Pick one. (Pick two, we've got a lot of work to do.)
Stumped about where to begin? Start here. Entering your ZIP code brings you a list of local organizations in more than two dozen categories that could use your help. Animal welfare, hunger relief, women's issues, sports, politics -- and everything from web design to envelope stuffing to youth mentoring. Whatever you can do or want to do or like to do, some worthy little organization in your town probably needs you to do it. You can help once or once a month or once a week. Every little bit helps.
