Back to main menu :: [Prev] big fat Greek film boycott [Next]

The Union of Greek Filmmakers said Monday the boycott was "not a condemnation of the American people or American art" but a protest against the war.

In other movie news, Roman Polanski says he's "deeply touched" by his best director award, which I think should be the last time anyone uses "Roman Polanski" and "deeply touched" in the same sentence. Though perhaps if someone deeply touched him with his Oscar, preferably after drugging him into a stupor, that might level the field, so to speak. Or as Sista Souljah once said, "Two wrongs don't make a right, but it damn sure makes it even!" Or something.

Gracious, I'm feeling loopy this morning!

That's a fine idea, Amy. If the Oscar had been 'presented' to him under those circumstances I'd have been pulling for him to win all along.
