US keeping child prisoners at Camp Xray: Maj Gen Miller says the US is holding "juvenile enemy combatants" at the centre, confirming rumours of children being held.

He has refused to reveal how many there are, their exact ages or their countries of origin.

(snip)

They have not been tried or convicted of any offence but are being held as part of what the US calls its war on terror.

If the phrase "juvenile enemy combatants" doesn't make you think the Bush Administration is monstrous and insane, I just don't even know what to say to you. Our military is rounding up kids in Iraq and sending them to a prison camp on the other side of the world, where they will be held -- uncharged, untried, with no access to legal representation, unable to return to their homes and families -- for as long as Bush damn well pleases. There are so many ways to be horrified by this, it's hard to know where to begin.

Frankly, I feel that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Wolfowitz, Rice, and your venerable President's other top advisors (excluding Colin Powell), should be brought to justice themselves, and tried in the World Court along with Sadam Hussein, as the genocidal maniacs they are.
