I work with young people
[Next]
Actual conversation overheard in my office this week between two very nice but very young co-workers, reminding me that I am nearly a decade older than almost everyone in department:
Co-worker 1: They're making Diet Coke with Splenda now.
Co-worker 2: I know!
Co-worker 1: I hear it tastes different, though. So, like, if you grew up drinking Diet Coke with aspartame, you probably wouldn't like the Splenda version.
Co-worker 2: Yeah, like, what if they suddenly changed the flavor of regular Coke? I bet people wouldn't like that.

I'm 22 and I remember New Coke.
There is a difference between "young" and "fuckin' retarded."

Dan's got a point. I'm 24 and still remember drinking my first, and last, glass of New Coke...and reading about why it sucked in Reader's Digest a few years later.
