Speaking of: Cinnamon and I are off to exciting Pittsburgh for the weekend. Hey, don't make fun! Pittsburgh is a happenin' town (I've seen "Queer as Folk," so I know).

We're going as representatives of our DIY Trunk Show, meeting with about 50 other indie craft show planners for the first annual International* Craft Congress. We'll be spending three days discussing the ins and outs of putting on a show, the future of the indie craft movement, the vexing issue of corporate sponsorship, and how to take over the world with hot glue and yarn. Also, there will be snacks and trolley tours and probably -- given the sheer number of passionate, groovy women involved -- a lot of what the kids call "processing." I'm pretty sure the weekend will be intense and frustrating and awesome and inspiring.

I'll take lots of pictures.

*thanks to a couple Canadians and one woman from Leeds
