Sing-along "No Children." Sing it like you mean it. Because someday you might.
In a related vein: Death Cab for Goaty -- Ben Gibbard sings "Palmcorder Yajna."
Team Dresch is officially back together and working on a new record. I missed seeing them at Estrojam last year because, give me a break, I was working on my thesis. But now! Now they are back together, and I can pretend it's 1995 again! (for some stuff. I wouldn't want to relive that whole year again, believeyoume.) Anyway, I couldn't find any good Team Dresch videos, but here's a fun Butchies song, which is half of Team Dresch, so that's pretty good, right? Oh, ladies.
Sir Paul McCartney finally put all his stuff up on iTunes, and I spent some time last weekend seeking out some songs I was missing but remembered fondly from my childhood, like "Magneto & Titanium Man" (which I haven't heard in about 20 years at least). And while listening to it again I thought to myself, "What the hell is this song about?" And now I know. Sort of. And now I'm just wondering, "What the hell is wrong with Paul McCartney?" (It's a rhetorical question, of course. I keep a numbered list of everything that is wrong with Paul McCartney on my person at all times.) Still, it's catchy.
Nicole Balch (she of the awesome Pink Loves Brown) is also a new homeowner, and her blog on fixing up her new Oak Park house makes me sigh and wish I had design skills.

The first thing you have to do is have the sofa face the fireplace. Then go from there. I'll be in town soon!
