For Craft Sales, the Recession Is a Help

Feeling the pinch of the economic downturn, some holiday gift-givers are saving money this year by making their own presents or for those who lack the time or talent buying handmade gifts from others.

Traffic at the DIY Trunk Show was much higher than I expected this year. I was worried the shitty economy would keep people away from handmade stuff, but it seems the opposite is happening. The New York Times even says so!

It does my heart good, people! Keep on craftin' on!
